The purpose of this blog is to have an online area where discussion can be created. People here can ask meaningful questions, stimulate new questions, promote sharing of process and products, encourage alternative ideas, and promote interaction. A teacher has the opportunity to host the blog and students can use it to understand direct activities. Student's also have the option to host their own blog. The audeince for a blog can be for themselves, the teacher, students in their classroom or other classrooms, also a global audience is always available.
Most blogs are used to share information including facts, data, statistics, links to other resources, opinions, and much mnore. Blogs are important for interaction. Some blogs can focus on communication between the person posting the entry and the people making the comments. Responses may include expanded ideas, or a critique. For younger children it is often a way of communicating betwen the teacher and the student.
